SIZE GUIDE

Choosing the right size rug can transform a room. A rug that is too small can make a space feel disjointed, while a rug that is sized correctly anchors the furniture and makes the room feel expansive and cohesive.

LIVING ROOM

8' x 10' — Best for smaller living areas or apartments. Typically, the front legs of the sofa rest on the rug.

9' x 12' — The most standard size for average living rooms. Allows for the front legs of all furniture to sit on the rug, or the entire furniture arrangement.

10' x 14' — For large, open-concept rooms. All furniture should sit comfortably on the rug with space to spare.

DINING ROOM

Your rug should be large enough that chairs remain on the rug even when pulled out from the table. We recommend allowing at least 24-30 inches of rug extending beyond all sides of the table.

6' x 9' — Suitable for small 4-person tables.

8' x 10' — Fits most 6-8 person dining tables.

9' x 12' — Ideal for large 8-10 person dining tables.

BEDROOM

The rug should frame the bed. You can place the rug entirely under the bed and nightstands, or start it in front of the nightstands so it extends further into the room.
